The Puerto Rican Arts Alliance (PRAA) is proud to present La Mudanza: Seeds of Our Past, a compelling new exhibition featuring the latest body of work by acclaimed artist Reynaldo Rodríguez, widely known in the community as Guaracibo. A prolific figure in the Puerto Rican diaspora, Guaracibo has developed a powerful visual language that reflects his cultural heritage, personal migration journey, and artistic evolution.

La Mudanza, Spanish meaning “the move” or “relocation,” symbolizes the packing of belongings—objects, furniture, and boxes—for a journey to a new place. This biographical exhibition, told through striking three-dimensional montages, narrates the artist’s migration from the rural countryside of Puerto Rico to the city of Chicago.
